‘There’s no ring ladies’: Social media users react to ‘hottie’ police officer

A photo of a smiling cop on a sunny West Australian public holiday has gone viral.

Western Australia Police posted a picture of one of its officers holding two breathalysers on Monday, with a message urging people to drive safely on the WA Labour Day long weekend.

“We hope you had a fantastic long weekend WA,” the message reads.

“Just remember, you still need to drive home! We’re out and about across the state.”

But it seems many followers of the WA Police Facebook page were more interested in the police officer than the message the force was trying to get across.

The picture of Kalbarri Senior Constable Paul Ellison has received more than 1000 comments and has been shared more than 340 times.

“Anyone know where this guy is stationed,” one person wrote.

“I feel the need to commit a crime.”

“He can take my breathe (sic) any day,” another woman gushed.

“There’s no ring on them fingers ladies,” an eagle-eyed observer noted.

“Seriously though if there was a 2020 police officer calendar for charity, I would buy one if he was in it,” one fan wrote.

“Or even if he wasn’t. But mostly if he was.”

Another person wrote: “Thanks for the reminder officer hottie (sic).”
